Thanks to janniz it could be close a leak in efileman 7.1. A user could get access to other user directories by URI-manipulation. The former bigfix didn't close the leak completely.
Please download and install the security bugfix asap.

All automatic added users have been deleted from forums database. It makes no sense to add a user only to set up a link to a website, because it won't be displayed at the members list of efileman forums. Address any grievances to the webmaster, please!

From now you have to register before you can post anything into the forums. Sorry, but there seems to be no other way to protect the forums against spam postings.

The current published Perl win32_stat Function Buffer Overflow Vulnerability doesn't regards efileman security, because efileman doesn't use this function.

Thanks to all user who has posted their problems into the forums, the first alpha version (Rel. 0.16) of new efileman generation :-) is available. After a complete code review is the primary goal of this release to get information about how it works on different enviroments like operating system and web server software. Please post a small report in the forum. This version shouldn't use for production purposes. It has been well tested, but some things seems to have to be improved.

Version 7.04j released. See Release Notes for more information. This is still a bugfix (excepting the new default skin files), not the promised new version, therefore update only if it's necessary. This version may still fail with MS IIS and don't work with Apache::mod_perl.
This pages works with Netscape 4.7 browser again.

Version 7.04i released. See Release Notes for more information. The final release has some more minor bugfixes than the beta version, therefore also the beta tester should update. Language Files section has been changed according to new values in language files. Furthermore the english language file has been corrected by Alan ( Thanks again !). The forums has been changed, more categories and more languages added.
